The Japanese fastidiously look after their cars and this low mileage car is proof of that. Inspections of this car are welcomed. It comes with a three-month 3,000 mile warranty that can be extended to 12 months if you wish. DETAILS – This ULEZ compliant Volkswagen Up features a 1.0 litre petrol engine and automatic gearbox. It offers fuel economy on the combined cycle of 63mpg. It has 74bhp. It comes with two keys. It is in insurance group 02E and road tax is £220 for the year. Admiral is the best company to insure Japanese models with, so please try them for a quote first.

SPEC – This VW comes with heated and powered wing mirrors, FM AM radio, CD player, heated seats, cruise control, parking sensors, 12v power socket, electric windows, airbags, air conditioning, cup holders, automatic gearbox, height adjustable steering wheel, 12v power socket, traction control, Aux in, digital clock, heated rear window, alloy wheels, ISOFIX points in rear, five doors, central locking with two keys.

HISTORY – The car has been registered by us with the DVLA in the UK and is on a 65-plate. It passed its first MOT in the UK with flying colours and this lasts until January 7, 2027. The odometer reads in kilometres but the car has covered the equivalent of 45,250 miles and the speedo shows Mph.

Service history from Japan is hard to come by but the Japanese are renowned for taking the cars back to main dealers for servicing as owning a car in the country is seen as a privilege. As someone who doesn’t know a great deal about cars, it was refreshing not to be spoken down to and to have all my questions answered patiently and throughly. The in-depth online listing and video were also extremely helpful when deciding to see the car and the car was exactly as described when I saw it in person. They had carried out a new MOT and replaced tyres and brake pads prior to listing it. After seeing the car and taking it for a test drive, I took advantage of their delivery service, which made it even easier for me. They were able to deliver within a couple of days, making it just 5 days from test drive to taking ownership.       Fantastic experience with Clever Car Collection. James was a genuinely nice bloke and incredibly helpful when it came to getting my son his first car. The whole process was completely hassle-free, and the video walkaround on their website was very informative and gave us great confidence before viewing in person. The car was exactly as advertised, and the addition of a fresh service and a new MOT was very welcomed. Highly recommend!

      Well, where to start! Finding enough superlatives to express our thoughts on Clever Car Collection is not easy! What a wonderful experience! I am in Scotland, my son in London, he finds a car on the Clever Car Collection website. What to do as distance is a factor to inspect the car before purchase. James and Joe took care of everything, got the car to London, my son inspected the car and it was everything they said it would be. We only paid the deposit and if the car was not what was described and as shown on the video, on the web site, the deposit would be re-funded. I had to pinch myself when Joe said “this is how we do business..”. The car was great and as described and the deal was done. My son loves his car and this moment, his first car, would not have been the wonderful experience that it was without the genuine, trustworthy process that Clever Car Collection have given us. We cannot recommend them highly enough, and albeit I am in Scotland, we will be giving Clever Car Collection a call when we purchase our next car.
