At the Clever Car Collection, we're proud to be part of the Gosport community.

Over the last three years we've met hundreds of local customers and built our business around helping people buy cars the clever way. 

Now we want to do a little more!

For the next six months – from July 1 to Christmas Eve – we'll be donating £25 from every retail car sold to a local Gosport charity.

The only problem is, we can't decide which one… But that's where you come in!

Nominate a local charity

We're inviting our customers, followers and the wider community to nominate a Gosport-based registered charity to become our official charity partner for the next six months.

To nominate a charity, simply tag them in the comments on the social media posts announcing this campaign.

Once nominations close (June 30), we'll total up all valid nominations across our social media platforms and the charity receiving the most nominations will become our chosen charity partner.

To nominate, all you need to do is tag your Gosport-based charity in the comments on the posts. Tag them in the post if you can.

For every eligible vehicle sold during the following six-month period, Clever Car Collection will donate £25 to that charity. On average we sell around 15-20 cars a month so we could be handing over more than £2,000 to the winning charity.

Clever Car Collection is an award winning business based at Basepoint Business Centre on Aerodrome Road, Gosport.

It has won Highly Rated for its customer service two years running from Autotrader, is a Carwow top rated dealer and has won multiple awards for its innovative use of AI.

Why we're doing it

We know there are some incredible charities and volunteers working hard across Gosport every day.

Our founder James Baggott volunteers as a lifeboat coxswain for Gosport & Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (GAFIRS) and business partner Joe Wallington has also volunteered for the lifeboat service too.

Whether the chosen charity supports vulnerable people, improves community facilities, helps young people, cares for animals or provides essential local services, we want this campaign to make a meaningful difference to a Gosport-based cause.

Most importantly, we want the community to decide where that support goes.

So, if there's a local charity that matters to you, get involved and encourage your friends and family to do the same.

Together, we can make every car sale count and give one charity a very nice Christmas present.

‘There are several in the local area that do great work for the community and we want to help support them. 

‘Even though I volunteer for the local lifeboat service and would love to support them, we still wanted the choice to be the local community’s – and we’re looking forward to hearing which Gosport-based charity local people choose to support.’

Baggott is also the editor in chief of the national publication Car Dealer Magazine, a business also based in Gosport.

Terms and Conditions

1. The promotion is organised by Clever Car Collection Ltd.
2. Nominations must be made by tagging a Gosport-based registered charity in the comments of the official promotion posts published by Clever Car Collection on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or TikTok.
3. Only charities that are registered as an official UK charity and are based in Gosport will be eligible.
4. Nominations will be counted across all participating Clever Car Collection social media accounts.
5. Clever Car Collection reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any nominated charity.
6. Duplicate nominations from the same account will be disregarded.
7. The charity receiving the highest number of valid nominations across all platforms will ordinarily be selected.
8. Clever Car Collection's decision regarding the selected charity is final.
9. Clever Car Collection will donate £25 for every eligible retail vehicle sold during the six-month campaign period following the announcement of the winning charity.
10. Donations will not apply to trade sales, wholesale transactions, vehicle purchases, or any transactions cancelled or refunded during the applicable period.
11. Clever Car Collection reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the promotion if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
12. By participating in the nomination process, entrants agree to these terms and conditions.
13. The winning charity will be contacted directly before any public announcement is made.
14. The total donation amount will be calculated by Clever Car Collection based on its sales records and paid directly to the selected charity.
15. No cash alternative or transfer of the charitable donation arrangement is available.
