Gosport Community Support chosen as Clever Car Collection's Charity Partner after public vote

After an incredible response from our customers and followers, we're delighted to announce that Gosport Community Support has been chosen as Clever Car Collection's official charity partner until the end of 2026.

Earlier this summer, we asked our community to nominate a Gosport-based charity to receive £25 from every retail car sold at Clever Car Collection until Christmas Eve.

The response was fantastic, with dozens of worthy causes nominated by local people.

Following the public nominations, Gosport Community Support emerged as the charity that captured the hearts of our community.

The charity was launched earlier this year by an experienced team who are passionate about tackling loneliness and supporting older and vulnerable residents across Gosport.

It provides practical help, friendship and advice, runs community groups and social activities, and is preparing to launch a volunteer driver scheme to help people attend hospital appointments and access vital services.

As well as supporting people already known to health and social care services, the charity is keen to reach those who may be isolated and have little or no support network around them.

Clever Car Collection owner James Baggott said: "We wanted this campaign to be decided by our customers and local community, and the response has been brilliant. There are so many fantastic charities doing incredible work across Gosport, but Gosport Community Support really stood out.

"We're excited to support a charity that's making such a real difference to people's lives. The £25 donation from every car we sell is just the start. We also want to help with publicity, fundraising, volunteering and anything else we can do to help the charity grow."

Representatives from Gosport Community Support recently visited Clever Car Collection this week to discuss plans for the partnership and how the dealership can support its work over the coming months.

The charity is currently expanding its services, including new community groups, a bereavement support group and a volunteer transport scheme designed to help residents who struggle to get to medical appointments and community activities.

The partnership will run until Christmas Eve, with £25 from every retail vehicle sold being donated to Gosport Community Support.

We'll also be sharing regular updates throughout the campaign so customers can see how much has been raised and learn more about the projects their support is helping to fund.
